My day began with the sun shinning in my face and my alarm going off at seven forty-five. I then went down and had two pieces of bread and a cup of tea for breakfast. It was then time for me to get ready to go to my final day of classes at the language school and do my morning devotion. I went down and caught the bus to the language school and then started my last day of classes. My first class was with Karla and I worked on the past tense. In doing so, I talked about my favorite movie Patch Adams and the movie or book called The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It was then time for a break in which we celebrated the day of teachers which is today. Also, we had a celebration because it was Maite’s birthday. During the celebration I had the opportunity to have cha chas again except this time the meat was chicken and not llama. I was supposed to have my next class, but there was confusion with the schedule and she left early so my class was move to later. During my free time I took some time to study my Spanish and try to find a way to get all my conjugations that I need to make correct in my mind. The next class I had was with Angelica in which I talked about my dad and his work as a police officer and how I thought that it was neat to be able to tell all my friends when I was younger that my dad was a police officer. Afterwards I had a class with Susana in which she explained all the situations that the subjunctive tense is used. This was very good because I wanted to learn how to express my emotions, give encouragement, or give advice. There was then more confusion because I was supposed to have a class with Maite, but she did not know that so my class was moved to the next hour. During my free time this time I went to the bank to get some money to pay for the language school. However, the maxim amount that can be withdrawn at a time is two hundred dollars, so I was able to pay for half of the schooling and I will hopefully pay the other part when I return on Wednesday for the cultural education classes. On the other hand, I had my last class with Viviana in which we talked about what I did yesterday and then had me practice asking questions of people to get more information. Throughout the day at the language school I asked my teachers if I could have a picture to remember them by. All of my classes went well today, I still feel that there is a lot that I need to continue to practice, but I think this will come with practical experience with my internship. After all of my classes today, I had a meeting with Larry which was excellent and really helped me feel better about the new environment that I have been in for the past three weeks. This meeting really encouraged me and gave me the feeling that things are going to get better here and that I will enjoy my time in Cochabamba more. When I returned to the house I took some time to relax and type up my last notes from the language school. While I was relaxing, I realized that this whole experience I have had with this trip there has been a theme of confusion. I have had confusion when trying to gather money for this trip. There has been confusion on how to get from place to place here in Bolivia. I was confused the other day about when my classes were and today the teachers were confused about when my classes were. The last bit of confusion is my schedule for the rest of my time here in Bolivia. With all this confusion I think that God has taught be to be more patient and to be more flexible than I used to be. For dinner I had steak, pasta with carrots and some kind of green, and a potato. It tasted like beef stew. After dinner I relaxed the rest of the evening. Then did my night time devotion, showered, and went to bed.
