It surprised me today because it was the second day in a row that I woke up with my alarm. However, today was a blessing because my computer had restarted for some reason during the night. So I was thankful that it did not reset the alarm and that I did not lose any of the information that I have been working on. For breakfast, I had a piece of bread, a cup of tea, and only a cup of water since the water container is running low. After breakfast I did my morning devotion and then decided to relax by lying in bed since my stomach has been a mess because I am trying new and different foods. While I was lying in bed, I received a phone call from Maite saying that are no classes today because there is a problem at the language school. I also think that she said that Mauge would call later in the afternoon to explain the situation. Even though there are no classes today I will continue to work on my Spanish so that my sentence structure and pronunciation are correct. Also, I want to make sure that I use the right tense and conjugation of the verbs when speaking. I did exercises in the book until lunch time. Before lunch I did my noon day devotion. For lunch today, I had some kind of fried meat with noodles, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions along with lemonade to drink. During lunch there was conversation about the new cat that is here, how my classes were going, and also the missionary who is leaving in a week or so. I was able to understand and participate in all of the conversation. In the same conversation I found out the Lucas’ surgery is on Tuesday; the same day that Larry and Betty arrive back to Cochabamba. After lunch, I continued to do exercises in the book to practice what I know and have learned in Spanish. Before dinner, I did my evening devotion. For dinner I had a piece of beef, rice with peppers and onions, a potato, and an egg. After dinner, I continued to do exercises in my book. During this time, I think I now understand the difference between indirect and direct objects which had been a struggle for me. Even when working on past tense something seemed to click and I understood the different uses. Tonight was a later than normal night. However, before going to bed, I did my time devotional and showered.
