It was just a little bit before eight when I woke up because just moments after I woke up my alarm when went off. I then went downstairs to have a piece of bread and a cup of tea for breakfast. After breakfast I knew that I had a lot of free time so I did my morning devotion and then relaxed. While I was relaxing, I remembered that my internship officially starts today and that I have been in Cochabamba for three weeks now. Also, I took some time to reflect on my time here so far. I have had so many different experiences since I have been here. In the United States, I have never really taken public transportation and took for granted that I could drive myself everywhere. The same came be said about not having difficulty for getting smaller amounts of currency in the United States. Another thought that occurred to me was the fact that when I was in the United States I always said, I wish I was taller. Here I am kind of wishing the opposite because the other day while standing on the bus my head was pressed against the roof. As I continued to think about riding the bus I also recounted that when sitting my legs are pressed against the seat in front of me and I have hit my head multiple times getting off the bus. A thought that occurred to me was the fact that Lucas’ surgery went well, but he continues to be in a lot of pain so I have been constantly praying for this situation. In reflecting I also realized that I am so grateful to God for my time at the language school and all the other missionaries I have met. They have all been really welcoming, encouraging, and caring; I think it is just what I need to help me with the transition which I have found to be somewhat difficult. I am also happy to say that Luigi paid me back last night. Later on in the morning, I started working on evaluations for the language school. I had to do one evaluation on the whole language school experience and then one for each teacher that I had. While I was doing the evaluations, Adelina told me to come eat lunch since I had to leave for language school shortly. For lunch I had breaded chicken with rice, tomatoes, carrots, and lettuce, along with a potato and cup of lemonade. After lunch I did my noon day devotion and completed the evaluations for tomorrow. Today was confusing because I thought Susana said that my classes started today at two forty and instead they were supposed to start at twelve forty. However, my classes did start at two as was previously scheduled. In all my classes all I did was go over past tense and I think I have finally got it now. The trouble is remember which conjugation is which and when to use it. My first class was with Viviana and we discussed what I did yesterday and all the accidents that I had when I was younger. This class was helpful because I had the opportunity to learn some of the parts of the body. In my next class with Maite, I discussed my routine when I was fifteen years old. The next class was also with Maite and I discussed what I did the past two summers when I worked at a summer camp. In my final class for today, I had Viviana again I discussed what I normally do for Christmas and New Years’. While I was heading back to Susana’s house I received a call from Larry because he needed to move the meeting to later on tomorrow because he is working on getting a long-term visa. When I returned to the house, I did my evening devotion and had dinner. For dinner I had liver I think with rice, onions, beans, and a potato. After dinner I took some time to relax and then did my homework which was conjugating some irregular verbs in the past tense and typing up my notes from my classes today. When my homework was completed, I decided to call it a night. So I showered, did my night time devotional and went to bed.
