As I have stated at other points, the weather here has been really weird. The sun did not brightly shine in my face and so it was difficult for me to get out of bed. I think that not sleeping well the night before and going to bed later than normal added to this difficulty as well. However, I did get up with my alarm at eight and went downstairs to have breakfast. I had my normal piece of bread and two glasses of water for breakfast. Since I was still feeling tired, I came back upstairs and tried to go back to bed. I had a little difficulty at first because the marching band was practicing for a competition that is today. Although it was difficult at first, I was able to sleep for awhile. When I got up again, I did my morning devotional and got ready for my day. Also, I edited my last paper that is due today and that I will submit via internet later tonight. It did not take me long to edit my paper so I had plenty of time before I had to leave. In this time, I used the internet and then read some more of my book. Before I knew it, it was time for me to head to my last Friday at Casa de Nazeret. I am glad that I left a little early because after taking a truffi, the micro I took had to take a detour because they were working on part of the road. Even though, there was a detour I still arrived early before any of the boys so I helped another volunteer with her puzzle. When the boys arrived back from school, they all greeted me. Once again today it was like the boys were competing to change out of their school clothes and then come to me to ask me if I would help them with their homework. So I said that I would help all the boys who asked me to help them. It was then time for lunch which today was pasta with a meat sauce and then closest food to Italian that I have had at the boy’s home. At lunch the boys and I talked about the Olympics, math, and about capitals of different countries. While the boys were doing their chores, I went back to working on the puzzle because for some reason it felt relaxing. It was then time for homework in which the first boy who asked me to help had to do the math problems on his own so I told him that I would check them after he was finished. I then went to another to help two other boys who asked me for help. With one of the boys I helped him with both division and multiplication problems and the other boy I helped with just division problems. Next, I went back to check on the first boy and while at his table helped another boy with his addition and subtraction problems. I was also able to help another boy with his division problems. While the boys had a snack I went back to working on the puzzle. I then went to the park with another missionary and some of the boys for soccer. On the way to the park, the other missionary explained to me that this weather is unusual and usually occurs in November. We began with working on techniques and then we played a game. During both practicing techniques and playing the game, it rained, the wind was blowing strong, and for one of the few times I have felt cold. When I returned to the boy’s home after playing soccer, I went back to working on the puzzle. I was so involved in working on the puzzle that I lost track of time and ended up leaving later than I had planned. While working on the puzzle, I had the opportunity to talk with the other people at the home about good restaurants here and then they wonder when my last day was so I informed them that it is next Thursday. Also, I was given a form that all volunteers have to fill out, but the one guy tried to get me out of it since I will only have worked there for a short period of time and so I have to do that sometime. Since, I left later than normal; I waited longer to catch a micro and then a truffi home. As soon as I returned to the house, I went to my room to drop off my backpack. Then went downstairs and heated up my dinner and then ate it. For dinner I had pasta that had beef in a gravy with carrots, peas, and green bean, along with a potato. When I finished eating dinner, I returned to my room to relax and then Susana came to give me the rest of the presents that I gave her money to pay for yesterday. I felt that it would be good for me to relax for the rest of the evening so I did. As it was getting late, I decided to use the internet to submit my school which was such a relief. Then I got ready for bed, did my night time devotion, and went to bed.
