I am so thankful that I had a good night sleep, but I also noticed that for once I felt cold this morning and that the sun was not out again. However, I did wake up a little bit before my alarm went off but I was able to fall back to sleep. When my alarm did go off, I got up and went downstairs to have breakfast. For breakfast I had a piece of bread and two glasses of water. While I was eating breakfast, I noticed that almost all of Susana’s family was gone and that lunch was made for only Luigi and I today. Since the house was silent for once, I went back to my room to lie in bed and enjoy the silence. I dozed on and off, but when I was awake, I reflected on my time here and thought more about some of the questions that Larry had given me that I need to write an answer to. Also, I took some time to gather my thoughts and think about what I want to say tonight at youth group since I think this will be my last one. I want to thank everyone, give my contact information, and say farewell. Later on in the morning, when I decided to get up again, I did my morning devotion. Afterwards, I decided to get working on a paper I need to do for school. I took a break from writing my paper at noon to do my noon time devotion. Then I went back to work on my paper until lunch time. Before lunch I received a phone call from Larry to discuss my final ministry evaluation form. For lunch I had a corn patty with a potato, along with rice, some cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. After lunch I decided to quickly use the internet and found out that one of my friends had lost her battle with cancer. Next, I went back to working on my paper for the rest of the afternoon and was able to complete it before youth group. I am grateful for completing it, but I am sure I will have some more ideas to add to it before it is due. Since I finished the paper before youth group and it helped me to answer some of the questions that Larry had given me. I took some time to write out answers to Larry’s questions to help me debrief more the experience that I have had in Bolivia. Before I knew it, I had to get ready to go to youth group. It was then time for me to head out to what I believe will be my final youth group here in Cocabamba, Bolivia. It surprised me that I had no problem getting to youth group. Usually, one of the truffis is full so I have to wait for several to pass before there is space for me to ride. I arrived a little bit earlier than the rest of the group so I watch some television with the people who were already there. We then began to make the cake that we are going to sell tomorrow. It is cake with Jello in it; it sounds interesting and was fun to make. Next, we played the card game Uno until we were ready to start with tonight’s program. First, we sang four songs and then had a time to get drinks and to snack on some potato chips. Then Diego opened in prayer and gave the lesson on remembering the Sabbath. We look at several of passages all over the Bible to help us understand how important this commandment is. Afterwards, Deacon Tammy told everyone that the worship was next Saturday night because of elections on the tenth. So plans were made to come around three for youth group and to travel together to worship. This was good because I did not have to say good-bye tonight. It also means that I will say good-bye to everyone in the church including the youth group next Saturday. Another reason it is good is because God help me come up with an idea for me to say good-bye. I now can buy the presents that I want to this week and I am thinking about buying the group dinner as a farewell. All these ideas came to me when we all chipped in to buy a pizza tonight to share. I really have enjoyed my time of fellowship with these people and the conversations have been wonderful. They have been so patient with me and they always treat me like I am one of their friends and include me in everything that they do. At the end of youth group, I asked Omar if I could borrow the book of songs with the chords so I can bring music to share with people. So he gave me two books that I will get copies of this week and then return it to him on Wednesday when I see him at worship practice. On the way home, Omar and Paula tried to talk with me and I felt like I had a set back because I did not seem to understand anything. Upon returning home, I did my night time devotion, showered, and went to bed.
