It was good to finally have a good night sleep. I slept all the way until my alarm went off at eight and then had some trouble getting up. Next, I went downstairs to have a piece of bread and two glasses of water for breakfast. After breakfast, I was still feeling tired because I think my body is still fighting my allergies and also it was another cloudy morning. So I went back to bed for awhile and then when I got up again, I did my morning devotion. Upon completing my morning devotion, I typed up the notes I copied about pray last night so I would have them with the rest of my notes from language school. Next, I got ready for my day and to complete my second full week at Casa de Nazeret. I got a truffi without any problems, but the micro was really full for some reason today. For some reason I arrived later than normal so as I walked to the house, I was passed by some of the boys coming home from school in a taxi. This also means that I walked in with the boys from the taxi and was greeted by the lady in charge. After the boys changed out of their school clothing I sat with them in the living room and talked with them about their day at school. Then all of the boys kept on wanting me to flex for them, it is such an interest to them. When I do flex for them, they are so amazed and it brings such joy to their face. The next activity on the schedule was to have lunch. When I walked into the lunch room with my lunch I felt like a celebrity because all the boys wanted me to sit at their table. I ended sitting with some boys that I have not sat with since when I first started working at Casa de Nazeret. The boys were interested in knowing if I liked what we were having for lunch. They also wanted to know if I knew my capital and so I told them that I was not good with information and that I did not like subject such as history and geography when I was in high school. For lunch we had mixed vegetables with various kinds of green beans and carrots, along with steak in a gravy that had a kick over pasta. After lunch, it was time for the boys to do their chores and for me to help the other people supervise. While supervising, I asked one of the boys to do his chore when he was sitting in a rocking chair. He then proceeded to tell me that this was his new chore was to rest. We both laughed and then I tickled him because I knew he was not telling me the truth and this got him to start doing his chore. Today some of the boys finished their chores early so I watched them play their own version of a soccer game. It was then time to do homework and so I helped one of the boys who had asked me to help him as soon as he returned from school. So I helped him with his math homework. We work on doubling, tripling, quadrupling numbers, and multiplying by five, and on fractions as well. Several of the other boys had the same homework as he did so I helped them as well. The lady in charge helped me by telling the boys that I needed to review their homework not her. I was also able to help another boy figure out the different sequences in his number problems. Another boy I helped him find all the words on one page of a book that began with the letter “f.” When homework was over I watched the boys play soccer and then told them it was time for snack. After snack, I went with another missionary and some of the boys to the park to work on soccer skills. On the way to the park, the same boy who I tickled earlier, wanted to walk with me and hold my hand. We worked on skills for awhile and then we played a game. It was a fairly good and close game until the end; when my team ended up losing. Then we returned to the house so the boys could do their chores and get ready for dinner. In the time I had before dinner, one of the boys came to me and asked me to read him a story so I did. Then he read a story to me; I think this experience really helped me with my Spanish. Before I left, I overheard the prayer for dinner and the boy thanked God that I was well and with them. It made me feel so good to hear the boys say that they enjoy me being with them. I then headed back home without any problems on the micro, but I had to wait awhile for a truffi because all of them were full. Since I had to wait so long, as soon as I returned to my house, it was time for dinner. For dinner I had ground beef mixed with pasta, potatoes, carrots, peas, and tomatoes. After dinner, I went back to my room to relax for the rest of the evening. While relaxing, I used the internet to upload some pictures that I have and to reply to some emails as well. I was able to upload the rest of the pictures and then I did my night time devotional. It was then time for me to shower and go to bed.
