This morning I had trouble getting out of bed because I had a good night sleep and was very comfortable. A little while after my alarm went off at eight; I finally got out of bed and went downstairs to have breakfast. However, there was nothing there so I got a glass of water. While I was drinking my water, the grandfather asked me what time I needed to leave and then went to go look for Adelina to ask her to buy some bread. Since he could not find her, he asked me if I could wait and I said that it would be no problem. Soon after this conversation, Adelina returned with Lucas and some bread. So I had my piece of bread and another glass of water for breakfast. Next, I came upstairs and got ready for my day and did my morning devotion. It was then time for me to leave to go to my last class of culture here in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I left later than normal which was better because the micro was less crowded. Still, I made it to the language school in plenty of time even though a detour was taken because they are working on one of the roads it normally takes. So I walk further than normal and waited for someone to come open the door for me. Since nobody came I waited and finally some of the other students arrived for the class so I went in with them. The class was about having a language helper which I did not think I needed. However, after the class, I thought that if I could have met with Juan more frequently that my Spanish would be even better than it is now. When the class was over, I said good-bye to the students who I have become friends with and to the teachers as well. Next, I walk to pick-up the last gift that I needed. While walking I ran into the man who helped Larry get the construction project and talked with him for awhile. Then I finally made it to the shop to get the gift and then head to Larry’s for my final formal meeting with him. However, there was a blockade so I had to walk all the way back to the language school to catch public transportation to his apartment. This also means I arrived later than expected so immediately we headed out to get some lunch. We went to a Chinese restaurant and I had lo mien with pork for lunch. On the way to the restaurant, at the restaurant, and on the way back from the restaurant, Larry and I had so many conversations about many different topics. When we got back to his apartment, we had our final meeting. We discussed some business items first. The business discussion went well as normal. Then we talked about my final ministry evaluation. This discussion was hard because I feel that some of the comments were not valid and others were harsh, but I keep trying to tell myself that this is all a learning experience. The final part of the meeting was to go over the debriefing questions that I answered for Larry. This was the best part of the meeting because it was an opportunity to recap what I liked and disliked about this experience. I also was able to talk about sharing this experience and remembering that some things in this culture are not culturally acceptable in America. While talking about different cultural experiences Larry and I laughed a lot. At the end of the meeting, Larry mentioned his concern for my weight. This was especially difficult since I am sensitive about this subject. However, I told him the good new about that I have already began to loose weight from being in Cochabamba for three months. When the meeting was over I ran with Larry to the travel agent to talk about my flight. Then we walked to American Airlines to confirm my flight for Friday. I then went back to Larry’s apartment to relax for awhile and then headed to my last worship practice. When I arrived to worship practice, I was later than normal but greeted by Omar, Samuel, and Padre Walter. As I got out my guitar I noticed that a string was missing off my strap and that my tuner was missing as well. I found the tuner but not the string. It was good to play one more time with the worship team. Shawnee came to the practice and it was good to see her and talk with her again. After practice, I was given a ride home by Omar and brought my guitar with me. When I returned to the house, I talked with Shawnee about having a meeting with her and if she could give out the gifts that I was not able to give people because I did not see them. She told me to hold on to them and that there would be a meeting after my class tomorrow night. Upon returning to the house, I decided since Luigi was home to thank him and give him his presents. Then Luigi, Quique, and I talked about and looked at cars on the internet. Luigi and I then stayed up talking about many different topics such as college work since he had a test tomorrow, about different thing that amazed us in life, and Luigi shared with me some of the problems and the way corruption happens here in Bolivia. It was late so I came back to my room and used the internet for awhile. Since I was so tired afterwards, I went straight to bed.
